Drains and collects excess water

The white inner basket is perforated so any excess water will drip through it, draining your food, helping to keep it fresh and preventing any unwanted sogginess - and there'll be no puddles on your fridge shelves either, as the water will be caught by the solid, transparent outer basket.

Acts as a colander and water reservoir

The inner basket lifts straight out of the outer basket and can serve as a colander, so you can use it to rinse your food before cooking or serving. The vents in the top of the lid can be opened and closed to allow more airflow, further ensuring the freshness of your food. And if you pour a little water into the bottom of the transparent outer basket, it acts as a reservoir to help prevent herbs and salad from drying out prematurely.
